15 Day  4×4 Self-Drive Guided Tour Namibia

 Full Itinerary

 Countries Visited:  Namibia (Southern Africa)

High-lights: Firh-river Canyon, Lüderitz, Kolmanskop, Sussosvlei, Swakopmund, Spitzkoppe, White Lady, Etosha National Park and Waterberg National Park

 Meals: 14 Breakfast, 10 Lunches & 14 Dinners

Day 1: Windhoek

After colleting your vehicle at the airport and meeting you guides for your 4×4 self-drive guide road trip through Namibia. We make our way down south through to our fist stop for the night. You guides will also stop at the local super market for you to buy yourself supplies for the next day or so.

Tonight once at the camp your guides will prepare you a real Namibian Braai (BBQ)

Drive time:  3 hours

Meals:  Dinner

Accommodation: Lapa Langa Lodge.

Day 2: Fish-river canyon

Leaving after breakfast we make our way to the fish-river canyon the drive takes you through a very scenic part of the country and we will stop of a the date and wine farm to try some of the wines before going down to the canyon. Once at the canyon your guide will take you to the lookout view point for sun downers.

Our camp is in the national park of fish-river canyon

Day 3: Aus

Today we make our way back to the main road and then turn west towards Aus. We will stop of along the road for a break or two and then once in Aus we will go down to see if we can observe the wild horses of Namibia. Our camp is situated between the mountains and at time you see wildlife in the camp. Great place to go for a short hike in the afternoon.

Day 4: Luderitz

Today we make our way down to the sea side town of Luderitz and visit the interesting places of the town.  After  lunch we will make our way to Kolmanskop for the guided tour of this once diamond mining town of the past.

Then we make our way back to Aus for the night.

Day 5 Family hideout Namibrand

Today we make our way into the desert part of Namibia. The drive takes you through some of the most scenic parts of Namibia. We stop of for coffee in the small town to Helmeringhausen. From here we make our way through the country to a off the track place where not many people visit. Here you can do some 4×4 drives into the desert. Your guides will have a map for you to follow.

Day 6 Sesriem and Sossusvlei

Departing early we make our way through the desert, your guides will stop of along the way and show you the fairy circles and also some interesting places as the day goes. We will make our way into the red dunes of Namibia and also visit dune 45 and deadvlei before returning to our camp for the night.

Sossus on Foot camp in off the beaten track and one of the most interesting places you will visit in Namiba, at night you have desert animals’ coming to the watering hole. Hartsman Zebra one of the very few places you will see them in at this unique place, Giraffe, Kudu and at time Hyenas and Leopard also visit the watering hole.

Day 7 Swakopmund

This morning starts of with an educational desert walking tour. Once back at camp we pack up and make our way down the coast for the next 2 nights.

Once in Walvis Baai we will visit the waterfront and also do a road trip through sandwich harbor before making our way to Swakopmund

Day 8 Swakopmund

Today is a free day for you to relax after making your way through the desert and also to enjoy the activities they have to offer in Swakopmund. Sand boarding, Sky diving, Quad biking, Deep sea fishing and much more or you can relax and enjoy walking around the town and visit some of the coffee shops and supermarket’s in this touristic town. There is also a curio market should you wish to pick up some presents for home.

Day 9 Brandberg White Lady lodge

Leaving early morning we make our way up the coast to Henties baai and then from there up to the seal colony of Cape Cross for a visit to the area. Once done at the seals we make our way back towards the desert and stop off in Spitzkoppe for a drive through the park. From the park we take the back roads to Ius and then down to our camp in Damaraland for the night.

Day 10  Palmwag

Today we travel through Damaraland for the day and visit the rock paining at White Lady and also the Petrifiel forest,  Organ pipes and Damara living museum before making our way to our camp for the night. This is also home to the desert Elephant and Desert lions and at time you maybe luck to see them going on at the own business of Life.

Activities included: White Lady Rock painting, Petrified forest, Organ pipes and Damara living museum.

Day 11 Epupa Falls

 Leaving early morning we make our way north through the country and stop of in Opuwo before making our way up to Epupa Falls.

You can visit the Himba villages in Epupa falls while in the area and your guides will also stop of there for a chat to the Himba people that live in the remote part of Namibia bordering Angola.

There is much to learn about the Himba culture while chatting to them

Day 12 Otjitotongwe Cheetah Farm

Making our way down towards kamanjap our goal for the day is to overnight at the Cheetah farm where you can visit th Cheetahs that live with the owners of the farm and also go on a cheetah feeding tour late afternoon. This is an Eco farm and there you may even be lucky to see the Damara Dik dik and small desert antelope

Day 13 Etosha National park

Leaving the cheetah farm we make our way to Etosha national park for the night. We stop off at the small town of Outjo for a short stop before making out way up to Etosha for the night.

Once in Etosha you have the afternoon for yourself to do a game drive in the park and your guide will make sure you have a map of the park and also the gate closing times.

Day 14 Waterberg National park

This morning you have the opportunity for a 2 hour game drive in the park. Once back in camp we depart for the exit of Etosha and then make our way thrugh the country down to the Waterberg national park. Here also you have the opportunity for a game drive before returning to the camp.

Day 15 Windhoek

Leaving the park early this morning we make our way to the Capital of Namibia and then to the airport in time for you to return your hire vehicle and also on time for your flights back home.
